  • Alec Baldwin's Trump gets the Christmas Carol treatment on SNL

In the opening sketch, President Donald Trump (Baldwin, as always) stewed over former national security adviser Michael Flynn's guilty plea for lying to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

But the cold open is redeemed when McKinnon's Hillary Clinton is revealed to be the Ghost of Christmas Yet-to-Come.

We can't know what Charles Dickens would have thought of Donald Trump, but "Saturday Night Live" provided a hilarious spoof of "A Christmas Carol" featuring ghosts of the president's past, present, and future yet to come.

Baldwin's Trump is then greeted by the ghost of Billy Bush, who was ousted from his gig on the Today show after the infamous "Access Hollywood" tape emerged during the 2016 campaign. He tells Trump to come clean "for the good of the country", words which Trump finds impossible to say.

You can catch new episodes of Saturday Night Live when they premiere Saturday nights at 11:30 PM EST on NBC!

Strzok was reportedly reassigned to a job in the FBI's human resources department following the discovery of the alleged texts. Trump's former advisers, while also coming under criticism for putting many donors to Democratic candidates on his team.

"I meant someone American", Baldwin explained, referring to Trump's false narrative about former President Barack Obama having a fake birth certificate.

Russian president Vladimir Putin, played by a shirtless Beck Bennett, was the next ghost to appear in front of Trump. "Frankly, I'm looking pretty good in the NBC news division", says Bush - a dig at Matt Lauer, the "Today" show host who was sacked this week amid allegations of sexual assault. Baldwin's Trump wants to instead think back on all the good he's done over the year. I've just got to announce the names every week like Powerball numbers. "And out of money", Moffat as Bush said.

Kate McKinnon returned as Hillary Clinton.

The show opening skit ends with Clinton telling Trump, "You, Donald, have given me the greatest Christmas gift of all - sexual gratification in the form of your slow demise". "You have no idea how long I've wanted to say this, 'lock him up", McKinnon said, laughing.
