Vols WR Jauan Jennings, the recipient of the Hail Mary pass to beat beat Georgia past year, has been dismissed from the team by interim coach Brady Hoke. "But after talking to John Currie and consulting with him, I know what the right thing to do is for our football team". Hoke added that "representing the University of Tennessee football program is a privilege". "That's why we made that decision". He said the "coaching staff (is) holding us back" and asked that Tennessee officials "bring us a coaching staff that's honest". Jennings accused the UT coaches of lying (about what is unclear) before calling them "fake" and snakes. The program parted ways with Butch Jones, who had been coaching in Knoxville since 2013, after the team started 0-6 in SEC play.
