A woman suffocated her 4-year-old daughter and left the child's body in a auto trunk for days until the smell became so foul that she put the remains in the dumpster at her apartment complex, Miami-Dade police said.

Freitas slaps one of the officers, who reacts with a punch, and she appears to go limp. Police did not release the officer's full name.

The 30-second video has been viewed thousands of times on social media since it was posted Saturday. "Whether or not she kicked him or whatever she was doing, you can see in the video, she doesn't deserve to be punched in the face like that, especially by a grown man".

A spokesman for the Miami-Dade Police Department said Sunday that details of the incident are being gathered. The Pembroke Pines woman, a registered nurse, bonded out Sunday morning.

It was Halloween night when Tina M. Farrington, 31, used a pillow to suffocate Tania Paige in their Tuscany Place apartment, at 25470 SW 137 Ave., an arrest report released Monday said.
