Blizzard is taking StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty's campaign free to play.

For those who already own Wings of Liberty then the second campaign, Heart of the Swarm, will be free instead.

Apart from this, Blizzard is also going to make its online multiplayer mode accessible to units from all three StarCraft II releases.

Players who already owned any version of StarCraft II prior to October 31 will receive a special Eidolon Ghost skin and three portraits commemorating their founder's status in the game when StarCraft II goes free-to-play. That's right! This isn't just one of those free weekends, the game's free entry will last indefinitely! The entire first single-player campaign and all the multiplayer modes for zero dollars is a pretty good deal.

Weinstein: New York City police investigate 'credible' rape claim
Weinstein's representative, Sallie Hofmeister, says the 65-year-old Oscar victor denies any allegations of non-consensual sex. As the scandal widens, police in Britain are now investigating an allegation of sexual assault by actor Kevin Spacey.

The free version of the game offers Wings of Liberty single-player campaign for free of cost. Anybody out there still holding out on StarCraft II?

The solo campaign for StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty will continue the epic saga where it left off in StarCraft: Brood War. Blizzard has done a fantastic job of keeping StarCraft 2 current between paid expansions, free updates, and community events.

Those who already own StarCraft II will receive a special Eidolon Ghost skin and three portraits commemorating their founder's status in the game. As with the existing line-up of Co-op Commanders, however, you will be able to play upcoming new Co-op Commanders who are released for free until they reach level 5. Purchase required to advance a Co-op Commander beyond level five-with the exception of Raynor, Kerrigan, and Artanis, which are free to play up to and beyond level five.

Morten said the team is introducing a new onboarding experience that helps guide new players to the mode that makes the most sense for them, whether that's the campaign, cooperative mode or competitive ladder matches.
