  • Harrison Phillips leads Stanford in tackles and sacks including this one of Oregon’s Taylor Alie on Oct. 14

Sophomore quarterback Steven Montez accounted for four touchdowns after being benched in last week's shutout loss to Washington State. The junior running back got Stanford up early on its Pac-12 rival with a 52-yard touchdown run right up the gut.

Stanford led 21-17 in the fourth quarter, but gave up a crucial first down on third-and-13 that helped kickstart the Cougars' go-ahead touchdown drive.

The No. 25 Washington State Cougars largely held Stanford running back Bryce Love in check en route to a 24-21 win Saturday over the No. 21 Cardinal at Martin Stadium in Pullman, Washington.

The Beavers (1-7, 0-5 Pac-12) led by five and got the ball with a little over three minutes to play after a Stanford three-and-out. Hilinski threw for over 500 yards and two touchdowns with four interceptions in the loss to Arizona.

Senate President Stephen Parry caught up in citizenship scandal
The five included Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce, the leader of the National Party, the junior partner in Liberal's ruling coalition.

K.J. Costello replaced Keller Chryst as the Cardinal starting quarterback but was just 9-of-20 for 105 yards with an interception.

Love's 10 rushes of 50 or more yards this season ties Wisconsin's Melvin Gordon (2014) for most in the last 10 years. He was tackled six times behind the line of scrimmage.

NOTES: Stanford senior CB Alijah Holder will not return this season after sustaining an undisclosed injury against Oregon State in the previous game.

Here are my three bold predictions for the game.
