Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner hands over documents to Special Counsel

  • President Donald J. Trump is the 45th President of the United States

Kushner, who is Ivanka Trump's husband, testified for two days behind closed doors to the House and Senate Intelligence committees' Russian Federation probes.

As the legal noose around the Trump campaign tightens, tensions are reportedly soaring in the West Wing between the president and his son-in-law/top adviser.

The disclosures follow the indictments this week of Manafort and his longtime business partner and Trump campaign deputy, Rick Gates.

The meeting was also attended by Paul Manafort, who was Trump's campaign chairman.

Other points of focus that pertain to Kushner include the Trump campaign's 2016 data analytics operation, his relationship with former national security adviser Michael Flynn and Kushner's own contacts with Russians, according to sources briefed on the probe.
An NBC/Wall Street Journal poll released on Sunday put Mr. Trump's approval rating at 38 percent - the lowest for the survey since February, when he was a month into his presidency.

On Thursday, CNN reported that sources claimed Mr. Kushner himself was not a target of the special counsel investigation and that he furnished the probe with documents similar to those he provided congressional investigators last summer.

Former White House staff members-whether encamped at Breitbart News or anywhere else-are constrained by 18 USC 207, which governs "restrictions on former officers, employees, and elected officials of the executive and legislative branches".

There continues to be widespread speculation that Trump might decide to fire Mueller and this act could ultimately lead to constitutional chaos and put the Congress Republican leaders in a risky political position.

BlizzCon 2017: Overwatch to Get New Hero Moira, New BlizzardWorld Map Soon
No word yet on when Moira will hit PTR, but expect her to be a bit controversial (just like nearly all new Overwatch characters). Coalescence - Moira channels a long-range beam that both heals allies and bypasses barriers to damage her enemies.

Nunberg echoed this sentiment in his conversation Tuesday with Sherman.

"Jared is the worst political adviser in the White House in modern history", Sam Nunberg, a former Trump campaign operative, told Vanity Fair. "I'm only saying publicly what everyone says behind the scenes at Fox News, in conservative media, and the Senate and Congress".

A White House official told CNN that the special counsel's questions about Kushner are not a surprise.

"If Trump pardons Jared, Trump won't be the 2020 nominee", he said in an email.

The questions surrounding the investigation may also pursue the President on his most critical official trip thus far, as he gets ready to go to Asia.

"We are deeply troubled by the news reports that Bannon, with the evident support of his cohort at Brietbart News, is urging the president to take action against Robert Mueller", the three attorneys write.

So that leaves Ivanka in a tough spot.
