Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has set out his expectations for the returning Eden Hazard after easing him in slowly after a lengthy period out with injury.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is ready to hand Kenedy a new chance for their Carabao Cup tie with Nottingham Forest.

"Now is the right moment for Eden to start the game and try to play the whole game", Conte said at a press conference.

"I think we have managed very well his situation".

"He can continue to improve a lot in his career and to become one of the best", Conte said. "I trust Charly, but it's important he gives a good answer when the chance to play arrives". With him, we're managing the situation very well.

Conte said after the Premier League stalemate at home to the Gunners on Sunday that the 26-year-old would likely be in a position to start against Forest and take the final step in his recovery.

Hazard missed Chelsea's first four matches of the season following surgery on a broken right ankle suffered on worldwide duty with Belgium back in June and has been limited to second-half cameos in their last three outings against Leicester City, FK Qarabag and Arsenal.

"If a player, an old player, 36 years old, makes me happy and helps me to win, I pick him".

Rudiger can consider himself unlucky to have not seen more minutes this season.

'Our work is to try and improve every single player. "Now he's ready to play and to show he deserves a space for the future". He played nearly every game and now he's ready to play.

"Don't forget when you are injured you can't work, and sometimes you can lose your best physical condition". I think, for the young players, it's very important to find the right path for them.

However, it took little time for Conte to reverse the London club's fortunes - at one period winning 13 straight games on their way to the title in 2016-17.

'It could be a good opportunity for Charly Musonda, and also for Kenedy. I'm sure of this. For a start, most of their young players are out on loan: 33 of them, to be precise, at assorted Football League clubs and Vitesse Arnhem.

Conte also spoke on bringing Eden Hazard back to the first 11 and two other younger members of his squad such as Kenedy and Charles Musonda.

"He is a bit thin but now he is working a lot to improve his strength and prepared for the big impact of this league".
