Klopp: Cups bring opportunity, not pressure, for Liverpool

  • Liverpool have now gone three games without a win

Liverpool struggled over the past week and now have two away games at Leicester to turn things round.

A 2-2 home draw last week against Sevilla in the Champions League and a 1-1 draw in the Premier League this weekend has further highlighted the Anfield club's long-term defensive frailties.

Jurgen Klopp says Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will need time to get to grips with Liverpool's style of play.

He accepts, however, the decision to start Danny Ward - his third different goalkeeper in as many matches - may raise some eyebrows.

Liverpool signed AS Roma winger Mohamed Salah, Chelsea teenager Dominic Solange, Hull City defender Andy Robertson and Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer. We have a lot of players who are in good shape but have not had the match time - for example Grujic made a big step in development.

Sturridge failed to grasp his latest opportunity with both hands and still looks unlikely to remain in Klopp's first-team plans once Sadio Mane returns from his suspension.

A Look At The GGG vs Canelo Tale Of The Tape
There's plenty for fight fans to ponder in the buildup to this bout. "We are going to give a great battle", Golovkin said. I'm veering towards GGG, given his experience in the ring with bigger boxers and his ability to dictate the pace.

"But we have to handle this and we're looking forward to the next game". We sit together with him and the analysts to show him how we want him to play in this position or that position.it's worked too but there's no rush.

Looking back at the Burnley game, Scotland worldwide Robertson said: "You know what Burnley give, they don't change the way they play and, like the manager said before the game, it's effective and they're really good at it".

And ahead of the Leicester game, he said: "We are working on it".

"But already at the weekend [against Burnley], he came on in a hard situation and he did really well". The 24-year-old is over his fitness problems but has only been involved in one matchday squad this term - he was an unused substitute against Crystal Palace in August - but is assured of at least a place on the bench.

"It would make sense that Flanno is in the squad", he added.
