US Open 2017 is the 137th edition of Tennis US Open. Making it to the US Open finals is a big deal for both of them. Here is the interesting news for all the American Tennis Lovers.

Stephens, who returned to the women's competition after an 11-month injury layoff, and compatriot Keys, will meet in the first Grand Slam title match for each on Sunday morning (AEST). Also, which is the pride moment for America.

Meanwhile, emotional Stephens looking back at her journey from an injury to title win said: "I had surgery in January and if someone had told me then that I would win the US Open I would have said it was impossible".

Having battled back from foot surgery in January, the 24-year-old Stephens played nearly to perfection in beating compatriot Madison Keys 6-3 6-0, showing she has what it takes to add to her Flushing Meadows title. Keys is 1-1 in final appearances on hard court. Her desire prevailed over experience and wisdom.

"I have no words to describe what I'm feeling, what it took to get there", said the American after her victory. "I just worked my tail off and ran down every ball", she added. A joyous Stephens began to walk around the court, waving to the crowd and to her player's box.

Sloane Stephens will face Madison Keys, a close friend, in Sunday's final. On Sep 7th, Keys entered into semi final by defeating Kanepi with a score of 6-6, 6-3.

The 83rd-ranked Sloane Stephens is the 14th unseeded player to reach a major final in the Open era.

"We're still proud of her", Mark Kinsey of Rock Island, said of Keys.

Keys says the friendship will be set aside for the match like their bags of extra racquets and picked up once the contest has concluded. It was a long, grueling recovery, but after a slow start to the hardcourt season, Stephens went on a tear. Stephens won the final eight games of the match. Williams defeated Petra Kvitova in three sets 6-3, 3-6, 7 (7)-6 (2) in the quarterfinals. Finally, Stephen won the match and entered into the finals.
