  • Odell Beckham Injury Against Browns: Video & Update

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — The New York Giants apparently can breathe a little easier.

Defensive end Olivier Vernon described Beckham as being in "high spirits" and says there's no doubt he'll be ready for the regular season opener.

McAdoo said Beckham underwent an MRI, and X-rays on Marshall's shoulder were negative. Another added that Beckham was "very sore" on Tuesday, even though he was seen jogging after Monday night's game. With less than three weeks until the season opener on September 10, Beckham may not have enough time to recover before the tilt versus the Dallas Cowboys. If it's a low or lateral ankle sprain you'd expect Beckham to get back into the mix pretty quickly, but a high ankle sprain would keep him out for longer. He's likely to miss the Giants' final two preseason games. Perhaps he is coming to the realization that his 2017 offense so far looks too much like his 2016 offense, and he knows an National Football League offense can't just flip a switch when it wants to and morph into something it's not.

McAdoo also gave a nod to his verbiage of choice regarding Beckham when briefly discussing Darius Powe, a second-year receiver who was waived/injured by the Giants Wednesday. Beckham was in the locker and meeting rooms with them on Wednesday morning.

US Imposes First Economic Sanctions Against Venezuela
Maduro and his allies, the official said, have "demonstrated clear intent to rely on repression and corruption to maintain power". The goal of these general licenses is to limit harm passed on to the Venezuelan and American people, the White House said.

Beckham suffered the sprained ankle after taking a hit to his left leg from Cleveland Browns cornerback Briean Boddy-Calhoun during the Giants-Browns game Monday night.

He's got an ankle, Beckham does.

"Roger had a great day of practice".

"No regrets, no", McAdoo said when asked about the response to the injury, via James Kratch of NJ.com.
