Leeds United are weighing up a move for Sheffield Wednesday striker Jordan Rhodes as they prepare to sell Chris Wood to Burnley.

The Yorkshire outfit proved their quality with a 2-0 win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light this weekend, with Samu Saiz and Stuart Dallas getting on the scoresheet.

There were reports that two offers had been rejected for the striker last week, with one definitely being from the Lancashire team, with that offer in the region of £12million.

Earlier this week, Leeds had offered Wood a new deal to ward off any possible suitors, however the lure of playing in the Premier League appears to great for Wood to refuse.

Hibbett Sports, Inc. (NASDAQ:HIBB) Updates Q2 Earnings Guidance
Hsbc Public Limited Company reported 0.51% of its portfolio in Home Depot Inc (NYSE:HD). (NASDAQ:HIBB) for 12,103 shares. It has underperformed by 42.77% the S&P500.The move comes after 9 months negative chart setup for the $265.29M company.

Wood had been omitted from the Leeds squad to face Sunderland on Sky Sports and said on Twitter it would "not be right" for him to play while a transfer to the Premier League was in the works.

Wood, who played in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa as an 18-year-old, has scored 20 goals in 52 appearances for the All Whites.

For whatever reason, the Scot failed to repeat the same form he had shown at Fulham and Leeds in previous years and ended the season on loan at Nottingham Forest scoring just once for them.

Wood managed to notch 30 goals in all competitions last term, with 27 of those strikes coming on a domestic league stage, making him one of the most prolific attackers in England across every division.
