  • Nathan Cleverly to face Badou Jack on Mayweather v McGregor event, August 26

Malignaggi, a former two-time welterweight world champion, quickly played down the incident on Twitter, claiming he was pushed by McGregor.

MMA star McGregor is preparing to face Floyd Mayweather in a Las Vegas boxing ring on August 26 in what could be one of the richest fights in history. Chief among them, however, was a leaked photo that showed Malignaggi falling backward to the canvas during a hard 12-round session in Las Vegas.

Malignaggi said he accepted the offer with the intention of simply helping McGregor but figured out early on that McGregor's motivation was to make himself look good at Malignaggi's expense. He was badly, badly concussed after those rounds. The ropes kept him up multiple times.

What was released are short clips which are flattering to McGregor, who is making his boxing pro debut, and not so much so to Malignaggi, who retired after being knocked out by unheralded British fighter Sam Eggington in March of this year.

Among Malignaggi's biggest complaints was one particular shot where he was laying on the ground with McGregor standing over top of him after an apparent knockdown. They were ringing us, anxious about him stumbling out of the auto, incoherent.

"Sparring partners who were [staying] in the house with him were anxious about him".

Sundar Pichai cancels Google diversity meeting after staff threatened
The Verge reported that just after cancelling the meeting, Pichai spoke at a coding event catering to young women. Despite citing copious scientific evidence, Damore was denounced and swiftly hounded out Google .

One reason for this growth is the enormous popularity of McGregor, and it was fan interest in the fight between the brash 29-year-old and the unbeaten Mayweather that led to it being arranged. "He got his ass whooped, he got his pride dented and then he wanted a way out". They know what happened last week.

Looks like Floyd Mayweather Jr. was serious when he said he was willing to let Conor McGregor wear eight-ounce gloves when they fight.

"He knows there's no racism from me", said McGregor through gritted teeth.

"I'm going to bring him in as a thank you for the support".

"My confidence comes from my work ethic", McGregor said.

The session is McGregor's first open media availability since the infamous four city press tour, in which he and Mayweather verbally clashed at every stop.
