  • Zach Randolph Arrested for Weed In LA ... Crowd Turns Hostile

Although the news of Randolph's arrest is nothing to laugh at, Twitter came with more than a few jokes at the baller's expense.

According to TMZ, police responded to the area around 10 p.m. local time and found a large crowd of people blocking the roadway.

Randolph, of the Sacramento Kings, was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana with intent to sell, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

His bail was set at $20,000. After attempting to disperse the crowd, the disturbance escalated.

TMZ Sports reported that Randolph had a substantial amount of marijuana on him at the time of his arrest.

Researchers said the technology itself is small and portable, allowing it to be used outside of a doctor's office or lab. For a long time researchers have tried to come up with a mechanism that could treat and even fix brain injuries.

Two other people were arrested, including a man on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm. In 2003, as Portland was trying to shed the Jail Blazer era, he was charged for driving under the influence following a police stop when officers smelled marijuana in his auto.

Raymond Brothers, who serves as Randolph's attorney and agent, told ESPN the charges are false and misleading. Five LAPD patrol cars and one sheriff's department vehicle were vandalized, according to officials.

Randolph, who spent the prior eight seasons of his National Basketball Association career in Memphis, played 39 games with the L.A. Clippers during the 2008-09 season.

Randolph, who spent 8 years at Memphis, averaged 14.1 points and 8.2 rebounds last season.

CBS reports the 36-year-old Sacramento Kings forward was taken into custody Wednesday night after Los Angeles police were called to a large gathering at a Watts neighborhood home.
