Fan jumps on stage at Britney Spears show, gets tackled by security

Britney Spears was given a scare when a fan rushed on-stage at her latest concert in Las Vegas on 9 August.

Spears' "Piece of Me" residency at Las Vegas' Planet Hollywood ends December 31.

As the fan gets closer to the pop star, the security guard catches up to him, flips him, and body slams him onto the stage, where the guard and a few of Spears's backup dancers hold him down. According to TMZ, he tried to kick or knee at least one person.

The incident happened while Britney was performing during the song "Crazy".

The man ran on from the back off the stage, but was swiftly tackled to the ground by security and back-up dancers.

In the video, the 35-year-old can be heard asking: "What's going on?" The site reached out to Spears' team and Las Vegas police, but wasn't able to get any information on who the man was or whether any charges were filed. Spears appeared visibly shaken and said, "He has a gun?" and that is when she was quickly rushed off the stage. But her security team soon approached her, presumably informing her of the situation.

She's scheduled to return to the stage on Friday.
