  • Chelsea want Alex Oxlade Chamberlain from Arsenal having launched a £25million scoop

I do not think we can say the same thing of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, though, despite the boss saying a lot of good things about the dynamic England global and despite the fact that he seems to have found a new lease of life as a wing back in Wenger's new three at the back formation.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger however lavished praise on the 23-year-old in his press conference on Wednesday.

The Arsenal star has just one year remaining on his contract with the Gunners and according to the Daily Star he has demanded £120,000-a-week wages to renew his deal at the Emirates.

Reports have suggested the 23-year-old is looking for a fresh challenge after growing frustrated at Arsenal, with Liverpool thought to be the midfielder's preferred destination.

SunSport recently revealed the Blues were eyeing a swoop for the Arsenal midfielder, who has so far refused to sign a new contract.

But if Albert isn't really into playing anymore, or isn't in good shape, is he that big of a help? If Albert stays retired, he would owe the Jaguars $3.4 million in signing-bonus money.

According to the Daily Star, the Blues have already offered £25m but are willing to increase their bid in an effort to land the England worldwide.

Oxlade-Chamberlain moved to the Emirates Stadium from Southampton in the summer of 2011 and has since racked up nearly two hundred appearances in all competitions, scoring twenty goals.

"I think he's had in his career some bad moments, ' said Wenger". He is on the way up and he will continue to move up because that potential is there. But the Ox is supposedly on Conte's shortlist, and he's a player who would make a ton of sense as a much-needed addition to the squad.

'He is today very conscious of his qualities as well, which he was not always, and I personally believe he will be a very great player'.
