Aug 7 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks were slightly up in early afternoon trading on Monday, with the Dow on track to close at a record high for the ninth straight day, after squeezing out another all-time high just after the open.

The 30 share index rose 25.61 points to close at 22,118.42 with a lift from Boeing and Goldman Sachs, which contributed most of the gains.

USA stock indexes reversed course to trade higher on Tuesday morning, with the Dow and the S&P hitting a new record, helped by a rise in Apple's shares. "There's no reason to be a seller yet and there's no reason to be a buyer at these levels as earnings season winds down and you don't have much in the way of economic news this week", said Robert Pavlik, chief market strategist at Boston Private Wealth in NY.

In Europe, London's commodities-heavy FTSE 100 index of major blue-chip firms stocks ended the day with a 0.1 percent gain. The Dow has also advanced 11.8% entering Monday's session.
