As jury selection begins in a case against DJ David Mueller in Denver, Colorado on Monday (07Aug17), legal experts insist the singer will be attending in person to state her case against him.

Now, the 27-year-old is now expected to take to the stand during civil court proceedings scheduled to begin this week.

The former 98.5 KYGO-FM DJ, David Mueller, met and posed for a photo with Swift at a backstage meet-and-greet during her June 2013 Denver concert.

"Right as the moment came for us to pose for the photo, he (Mueller) took his hand and put it up my dress and grabbed onto my ass cheek, and no matter how much I scooted over, it was still there.it was not an accident", Swift said during a deposition, per The Daily Beast. Swift, told Mr. Mueller that he greeted her at the Pepsi Center by putting his "hands on her bottom".

In his lawsuit, Mueller claims he was sacked from his job at a country music station after Taylor's team wrongfully told his boss that Mueller had groped the singer-songwriter.

According to pre-trial legal documents obtained by CNN, Mueller launched a law suit in 2015 claiming Swift and her co-defendents (including her mother), falsely accused him of improperly touching the star, and is now seeking £2.3 million in damages. She's seeking damages for $1 and hopes that the verdict serves "as an example to other women who may resist publicly reliving similar outrageous and humiliating acts", according to her lawsuit. Swift in a way she found inappropriate, it was inadvertent as he rushed to get into position for the photograph, which, though inconclusive, is expected to be key evidence at the trial.

Prospective jurors in a civil trial involving dueling lawsuits between Taylor Swift and an ex-Denver radio disc jockey are being asked whether they are fans of the singer-songwriter or the former host of a country music show. After Mueller's employer was informed of Swift's accusation, he was terminated from his job. Instead, he and his girlfriend were escorted out of the arena and his boss at the radio station was called, Associated Press reports. David Mueller's attorney has confirmed that Mueller will also be testifying in the trial.

According to TMZ, 32 seats will be open to the public for those interested in the trial (the case has predictably drummed up plenty of buzz among Swift's fans and locals).

Swift has countersued, claiming assault and battery for "offensive and harmful physical contact". Court papers allege that "Mueller did not merely brush his hand against Ms".

Swift plans to donate any winnings from the trial to a charity that fights against, and protects women from, sexual assault.

Mueller's attorney, Gabriel McFarland, argues that Mueller may have been misidentified after someone else touched Swift.

The trial is expected to last nine days.
