  • Ray Lewis To Colin Kaepernick:

During an appearance on FS1's "Undisputed" on Monday, the former National Football League great started receiving criticism for seeming to defend the Baltimore Ravens' reluctance to sign former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick as a backup for the now injured Joe Flacco. And he isn't the only owner doing so.

It has been nearly a week since Harbaugh said the Ravens were contemplating adding the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback, who chose not to stand for the national anthem last season to spotlight racial inequality in the United States and was heavily criticized in some circles for that stance.

"We're very sensitive to [the situation], and we're monitoring it and we're still, as [Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome] says, we're scrimmaging it". Somewhat surprisingly, Baltimore owner Steve Bisciotti said Sunday he has consulted Lewis in the decision-making process.

The quarterback shuffle move will not preclude the Ravens from signing another experienced quarterback, including Colin Kaepernick.

Ravens starting quarterback Joe Flacco is out for at least one week with a back injury.

Does it make our life more hard ? It means that the total number of USA diplomatic personnel is to be cut to 455. Tillerson said he plans to meet Lavrov on the sidelines of a regional summit in Manila, Philippines.

Team president Dick Cass confirmed the Ravens are reaching out to former players, major sponsors and advertisers to see what reaction might be if they sign Kaepernick.

The Baltimore Ravens are Kaepernick's best hope for a job this season.

Kaepernick, who opted out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers on March 3, threw for 2,241 yards with 16 touchdowns and four interceptions while fumbling a career-worst seven times last season. "The battles you fighting brother, people way before you have been fighting for many, many years. I think it would be a good spot for him".

Just last month, the former Baltimore icon had strong words for Kaepernick, saying he has to decide whether he wants "to play football or do you want to be an activist?"
