Channel 4said in a statement: 'The excerpts from the tapes recorded with Peter Settelen have never been shown before on British television and are an important historical source.
The intimate recordings, made in 1992, reveal Diana's conversations with her voice coach Peter Settelen, who trained her in public speaking.
Channel 4 will broadcast the documentary based on seven of the original 12 tapes with the remaining five said to be missing.
