  • Broncos Shane Ray to miss 6-8 weeks with torn wrist ligament

Running back Devontae Booker had surgery Friday for a broken left wrist.

Broncos coach Vance Joseph, is hopeful for an early.

What was a major position of strength previous year now becomes a significant question mark with the Broncos' opener just over six weeks away. He also more than doubled his tackle total from 15 two years ago to 33 last year. Medical tests after practice revealed the torn ligament.

Broncos linebacker Von Miller has said, "Shane's been ready to start, he's ready to show everybody what he can do". Ray's wrist injury, which is expected to be surgically repaired Saturday morning, followed a hip injury to Shaquil Barrett. He spent a month on the roster during training camp and the preseason. If Ray is out the full eight weeks, he would not be able to play until September 24 when Denver plays the Buffalo Bills. He is yet to appear in a regular season NFL game, but he has played for the Texas Revolution and Colorado Ice in the Indoor Football League.

Herzing is Ready to Meet Foxconn Job Needs
The state will be giving Foxconn up to $3-billion tax breaks, tied to the company meeting certain building and hiring targets. Foxconn's planned investment will be up to $10-billion, with 3,000 jobs initially, and up to 13,000 in later years.

"We signed Edebali in the offseason from New Orleans for his rushing skills", Joseph said, "so he's a guy that's going to help us rush from the Sam position and stop the run as far as setting the edge. We have time to figure it out".

The Denver Broncos have signed linebacker Danny Mason, according to agent Corey Williams of OGMC LLC.

Joseph said he would meet with president of football operations/manager John Elway to see if adding another pass rusher is an option.

Veteran linebacker Kasim Edebali will have to step up in Ray's absence and make up for some of the lost production.
