The Trump administration has pushed for changes to the Senate's Russian Federation sanctions bill, particularly over the provision that gives Congress veto power if the White House eases sanctions on Russian Federation. Trump Jr. also said his father, President Donald Trump, wasn't aware of the meeting until recently.

"We're talking with the Democratic members about it, trying to put together a bipartisan bill, and we're moving forward", the California Republican said.

Concerns over Russian Federation expanded with emails from Donald Trump, Jr. "Speaker Ryan must allow a vote on an outside independent commission to get to the bottom of the Trump campaign's role and Russia's assault on our democracy and prevent Putin from ever doing it again, immediately". The fund is normally used to cover party-related expenses like election recounts.

The chamber's Republican leaders initially said there was a technical problem with how the bill was written, but after the Senate altered the bill to fix it, the measure still did not move.

House committees have 14 legislative days to debate and vote on a resolution of inquiry before it is automatically discharged to the full House, giving members the chance to force a floor vote. Curiously, even Trump seemed to walk back his pledge shortly after leaving Germany, writing on Twitter that - quote - "The fact that President Putin and I discussed a Cyber Security unit doesn't mean I think it can happen".

"I think from a practical standpoint most people would've taken that meeting".

The June 9 meeting involved a lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya, who was described to Trump emails as a "Russian government attorney" who had incriminating information on Clinton.

Trans people who were already serving in secret were allowed to immediately come out without fear of being discharged. Jared Polis , a Democrat from Colorado, attempted to remove Hartzler's amendment from the bill.

"We have to get all the information we can find about [President Trump] and his business relationships", Waters said in a recent interview with TheStreet.

While it doesn't appear Kushner played a role in setting up the meeting, he was the only person known to be in it that now serves in the White House and has access to sensitive information.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Friday said she had conveyed to GOP leaders that she didn't like tweaked language on disapproval resolution because she wanted to protect "the prerogatives of the minority in the House".

On Thursday, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz introduced two amendments in the House Appropriations Committee with the goal of revoking Kushner's clearance.

The department has acknowledged that Sessions omitted from his form meetings he had with foreign dignitaries, including the Russian ambassador. A spokesman for the Senate Judiciary Committee said the letter hasn't been sent.

Both amendments failed to pass in committee.
