  • We have work to do for Bihar unlike 'unemployed' Sushil Modi: Tejasvi Yadav

He dubbed the Central Bureau of Investigation raids as witch-hunt and a conspiracy by the Bharatiya Janata Party, and said the allegations against him are baseless.

"I am not going to surrender before these people who want to finish me off because they know I will destroy them and wipe them from the face of this earth", an extremely agitated Lalu said.

On previous occasions, when the BJP targeted other Yadav family members, including Health Minister and Tejashwi's brother Tej Pratap Yadav over alleged benami properties, he had said that the RJD has already clarified the matters. Nitish and his party JD-U have remained tight-lipped about the raids, while the Congress, another RJD ally, has backed Lalu's claim that those were part of "vendetta politics" by BJP and the Modi government. The development comes a day after CBI raids on Lalu family members' premises, as well as an FIR against the RJD chief, his wife and former Bihar CM Rabri Devi, and son Tejashwi, the deputy CM in the RJD-JD (U)-Congress alliance government. The search was conducted in relation to the scam unearthed by the central agency, dating back to the tenure of Lalu as the Railway Minister in UPA-I government.

Former Managing Director, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC) P K Goel, Sujata, wife of Yadav's confidante Prem Chand Gupta, two directors of a private company, have also been booked by CBI in connection with the case, among others.

Post-CBI raid in the morning, BJP leader Giriraj Singh and senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi demanded a statement from Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and an immediate termination of office of Tejaswi Yadav as deputy CM. Available on Android and IOS.

United States economy added 220000 jobs in June
The report revised May's comparatively sombre report, adding a net 47,000 jobs to the totals for that month and to April. Over the past three months, job gains have averaged 194,000 a month, far outpacing the rate most economists expected.

"We have completely boycotted your channel", the state Minister said.

The RJD supremo, however, refuted the allegations against him and called it a political conspiracy hatched by the BJP.

The alleged money laundering done by three of Lalu's nine children came to light after Misa's chartered accountant, Rajesh Aggarwal was arrested and the ED interrogated him for three days in May.

"The CBI raids have been orchestrated by Narendra Modi and Amit Shah to politically finish me".

Asserting that the Bihar alliance will "last its full term", RJD national spokesperson Manoj Kumar Jha said, "Lalu Prasad has only emerged stronger after all this". "Question that any reasonable man would validly ask is what action has the Railway taken so far?"
