  • WATCH: First officially fun trailer of 'Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle' has arrived

By transforming that magical (and dangerous) board game of the title into a video game, of course. A group of four very different teens end up in detention together.

Set against the iconic strum of the Guns N' Roses rock classic, the first full trailer for Jumanji has finally stomped online, teeing up a zany adventure involving four mismatched friends, an otherworldly jungle, and one odd little video game. The trailer is set to the soundtrack of Guns and Roses' "Welcome to the Jungle" as it gives an overview of the plot. Yes, after 22 years, we are finally getting a sequel to Jumanji. Since that film has its fair share of nostalgic fans, the first trailer for this sequel/reboot is surely going to undergo some scrutiny. Only time, and more trailers, will tell, and I will definitely be ready and waiting.

Still, although unhappy about her costume choice, it doesn't stop Gillian's character from unleashing several power moves during the trailer, including back-kicking an incoming cyclist and sprinting from a herd of super-sized Rhinos.

That means "Jumanji" is now a video game, and the kids in question are sucked into its universe, instead of vice versa.

UN 'outraged' over Saudi Arabia's demands on Qatar to close Al-Jazeera
Qatar has rejected the demands and accusations, saying that they are based on unproven claims. Qatar has previously also said the demands were aimed at curbing its sovereignty.

When the first images of the film were out, many called out the makers for sexism as they showed the only female lead played by Karen Gillan in a short dress. What they discover is that you don't just play Jumanji - you must survive it. Besides Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan and Jack Black also starring in this are Rhys Darby and Nick Jonas.

Jake Kasdan (Bad Teacher, Sex Tape) directs the sequel off of a screenplay by Scott Rosenberg (Venom, Gone in Sixty Seconds).

The synopsis of, "Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle", which now has a December release date is a play-off of the original but with a modern twist and some surprises along the way.
