Range of little city cars, and here it is - the 2018 Volkswagen Up! GTi. That's more horsepower than the original Golf GTi, which produced 108 hp and 104 lb-ft of torque all the way back in 1976, courtesy of a 1.6-liter four-cylinder and, more importantly, more power than a new Fiat 500. In our tests, the current-generation VW Golf GTI hit 0-60 miles per hour in as little as 5.7 seconds when equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, but VW estimates the up! version will take 8.8 seconds to reach 62 miles per hour. GTI concept isn't almost as quick or as powerful as the GTI we all know and love today. And instead of producing between 210 and 220 hp, the Volkswagen up! Now, Volkswagen is trying to recapture some of that first GTI's magic and apply it to another small auto, with the planned-for-production Up!

Look closely at the numbers, and you'll see the up! GTI can scoot from zero to 62 miles per hour in 8.8 seconds and can reach a maximum speed of 122 miles per hour.

Hong Kong, China regulators approve 'Bond Connect' scheme
Similar trading programs linking Hong Kong to the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets launched in 2014 and 2016, respectively. A total of 473 overseas investors hold 800 billion yuan of outstanding investment in the interbank bond market.

It boasts a top speed of 155 miles per hour in manual form, and 154 miles per hour when equipped with the DSG gearbox - thanks to an extra 15bhp over the old model - as well as an electronic front differential for greater traction and bigger brakes with red callipers. Even the colour palette is borrowed from the current Golf GTI. Although not quite as light as the original, the new model weighs a respectable 2,198 pounds. GTI prioritizes go-kart agility over power. That means it has a red stripe across the grille with the GTI logo above it, as well as double stripes across the wide side sill panels and high-gloss black exterior mirror caps. It reminds us a bit of the #PinkBeetle sold here in the U.S. The vehicle you see here is actually a concept, although it's a production-ready one that directly previews the auto due to hit showrooms in early 2018. GTI, and it's set to make its public debut at the only place it possibly could, the GTI-treffen, on lake Wörthersee in Austria. A move helped by its three-door layout, something increasingly rare in the hot hatch sector.
