Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has imposed a two-month ban and a fine of Rs. two lakhs on all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz in its ongoing probe into the Pakistan Super League (PSL) spot-fixing scandal.

Fast bowler Mohammad Irfan confessed to receiving offers and not reporting them to Pakistan Cricket Board's anti-corruption unit and was banned for one year, with six months suspended, and a fine of one million rupees ($10,000) in March.

The duo was suspended by the PCB under its Anti-Corruption Code, as part of an ongoing investigation into an global syndicate which was believed to corrupt the second edition of the PSL.

Nawaz admitted to the PCB's vigilance and security department that "on one occasion" he was approached by bookmakers and he didn't inform the cricket board in time.

During the tour of Australia, Nawaz was allegedly approached by bookies, although he had not committed any corruption, but not informed the PBC about his meeting. If any such breach (es) take place the PCB shall reserve the right to initiate separate and independent proceedings against Nawaz under the PCB Code.

Nawaz, who has made just three Test and 9 ODI appearances for Pakistan, played for runner-ups Quetta Gladiators in the second edition of the PSL.

In its press release, the PCB stated that Nawaz was charged with a single violation of Act 2.4.4 of its anti-corruption code.

Four other players are now under investigation and have been provisionally suspended - Sharjeel Khan, Khalid Latif, Nasir Jamshed and Shahzaib Hasan could face bans ranging from five years to lifetime if found guilty.
