  • 'Last Man Standing' fans start petition over cancellation

The series was unique in that it was one of the few (if not the only) broadcast network shows to explore the life of a politically conservative working man and his experience coming to terms with today's constantly-evolving culture.

Tim Allen broke his silence Tuesday to say he was "stunned and blindsided" by ABC's decision.

Viewers quickly began to speculate that Allen's show was cancelled due to his conservative views.

Tim Allen is as upset as his fans at the surprise cancellation of "Last Man Standing" after six seasons. "Once we made the decision to not continue with comedies on Friday, that was where we landed".

ABC insists canceling "Last Man Standing" had nothing to do with Tim Allen's support of President Trump. ABC's Friday lineup will be stacked with two one-hour super-hero dramas, "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and "The Inhumans", along with the news program "20/20".

While ABC cited a dispute over the sitcom's licensing fee, many fans of the show feel the cancelation was connected to the star's political views, which also often seep into the show's dialogue and stories.

Healthy teen dies of heart problems after too much caffeine
The Mayo Clinic said in a March report that up to 400 milligrams of caffeine a day "appears to be safe for most healthy adults". A caffeine overdose has been ruled the cause of death of a SC teenager last month, a state coroner reported on Monday.

The goal of the petition, created by an unnamed individual from California, is to renew the show.

The petition now has almost 100,000 signatures and reads, "Last Man Standing stands out in the sea of network television sitcoms. It's family friendly. We're not holier than thou who did it this way, but it is a very different situation when you have a show that the whole family can watch together", Allen told UPI in a phone interview a year ago. With the Tuesday and Wednesday comedy blocks remaining largely intact (with a couple of tweaks and one new show launching), "Last Man Standing" was left without a spot. "But I canceled "Last Man Standing" for the same business and scheduling reasons that I canceled "The Real O'Neals, ' 'Dr".

"I have cancelled the DVR settings for the other ABC shows that I regularly watch", they wrote.

ABC will be officially releasing its 2017 fall schedule later Tuesday morning, so it still remains to be seem whether or not fan voices will be heard.

Allen himself has been an outspoken conservative, and during a March appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"
