  • Harry Styles to drive fans wild with Carpool Karaoke on James Corden’s show

Harry Styles began his week-long residency on The Late, Late Show with James Corden and his first appearance was not disappointment.

But while Styles, 23, gets a U.S. platform for his music, it comes with the condition of being game for any sketches, challenges or jokes that Corden, 38, throws his way. "You don't want to miss it". "And I'm Katy Perry", she says, mocking him as he tries to convince her. Doing stuff like this, it would be hard not to get nervous.

At the mention of his famous ex, Harry reached for his mug and kept his head down.

Johnson noted that the chickens "lay every day", so Corden asked Styles, "Do they lay every day, Harry?".

Man holding human head stabs store clerk; mother found dead
Police believe the stabbing is tied to the murder of a woman found dead in a home in the nearby town of Colton . Joshua Lee Webb, 36, allegedly walked into the Estacada Thriftway Harvest Market in OR on Sunday afternoon.

With his debut solo album Harry set for a No. 1 bow atop the US and United Kingdom charts, Styles naturally performed a song from it, "Carolina".

With just a microphone and an eclectic suit, Styles' showed he doesn't need much more than his powerful voice to captivate a crowd, although he got formidable backing from his group, which delivered solid backing vocals and (from somewhere!) the song's soaring orchestral backing.

Another wrote: "If you really think i'm going to stay up til 1am all week just to watch Harry on Late Late then you're absolutely correct". On Monday, Corden revealed that the former One Directioner will also be taking a spin with him. From joining in with a mariachi band, to his very own Carpool Karaoke.

Late Late Show guest Harry Styles performs "Sign of the Times" off his new album to kick of #LateLateStyles week.
