Celtics seek top pick, Lakers aim to keep theirs in lottery

The Kings are the only team with two picks in the NBA Draft Lottery, landing another first rounder pick in sending DeMarcus Cousins to the New Orleans Pelicans.

Two former Kentucky players will get better insight into their professional lives Tuesday night when the National Basketball Association holds its 2017 Draft Lottery on ESPN.

They would have garnered another top-five selection had the Lakers tumbled a couple of spots, since they would have been entitled to the pick the Lakers originally dealt to Phoenix for Steve Nash that the 76ers later acquired in another trade.

Even though numerous top prospects are not in attendance in Chicago and the Magic did not get an interview with expected top prospect Markelle Fultz, the team is still gathering a lot of information for their other picks. They had the 3rd best odds at the number one pick, but they were not guaranteed the 3rd spot. If the Lakers slide to No. 3, a promising defender in the backcourt (Kentucky's De'Aaron Fox) or along the wing (Kansas' Josh Jackson) could be in the mix.

The Timberwolves selected point guards Ricky Rubio fifth and Jonny Flynn sixth in 2009.

"Every Akron kid grew up seeing the Wingfoot in the sky on the blimp and feeling pride in our community", Cavaliers star LeBron James said in a statement.

Crash investigators have consulted with the Harford County state's attorney's office, who said charges would be withheld for now. Maryland State troopers, members of Havre de Grace's Susquehanna Hose Company and other first responders are also on the scene.

Moving forward, a world in which the Lakers don't have to venture back into the lottery seems like something fans would certainly be interested in.

"All I can remember was when they went to the commercial break and we were in the top three, I was having an anxiety attack", Lloyd recalled. Kentucky's Bam Adebayo and Hamidou Diallo (if he remains in the draft) would be early second-round picks according to DraftExpress. And the Lakers have enough cap space to sign a player to a max contract.

This year, the Knicks, seeded seventh, have a 5.3 percent chance of winning the lottery and an 18.3 percent chance of finishing in the top three.

"We can now make the decision all by ourselves", said Brown, who is 47-199 in his three seasons. "If we don't, just like those sports moments, we have to find a way". With that pick, the Pistons chose Darko Milicic - and the rest is ... well, draft history. He scores but he can do other things. Jackson is still very raw at 20 years old. But not only would the Lakers hang on to their 2017 pick if that happens, they'd also keep their 2019 pick. I was in the hotel, and I saw Magic Johnson, Luke Walton and Larry Bird. But to add weight to longevity, we multiplied their career WS/48 by total games played. Assistant GM Glenn Carraro and strength and conditioning coach Tim DiFrancesco also resigned. Regardless of where the pick lands, speculation will begin over the team's plans for it.

"There's a thousand different ways to turn the cube and to get it so it all lines up". This backfired on the Hornets in 2012, when they had the best shot at getting the No. 1 pick - 25 percent - but ended up at No. 2 and wound up with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist instead of perennial All-Star Anthony Davis. He also said team executives will make another trip to Europe before the draft.
