THE ALABAMA WEEKEND: Lingering clouds tomorrow morning will give way to a mostly sunny afternoon; the high will be in the 75- to 78-degree range. The rain will gradually overspread the state during Saturday evening, but it may take a while to reach northern areas.

Expect occasional showers and storms through late tonight; the Storm Prediction Center maintains a "marginal risk" of severe storms for Central Alabama. Temperatures will be in the middle to upper 80s as we go through next week. Now that the rain has passed, we are not expecting any more rain the next few days.
