  • North Korea 'detains US citizen Kim Hak-song'

The country's official Korean Central News Agency said Kim Hak Song was detained Saturday and that "a relevant institution is now conducting detailed investigation into his crimes".

Kim's wife said her husband had been teaching agricultural techniques at Pyongyang University of Science and Technology.

Hak-song is the second US professor at the university to have been detained.

Washington is concerned about the recent detention of a fourth USA citizen in North Korea and is working with the Swedish Embassy in Pyongyang to resolve the issue, White House Spokesperson Sean Spicer said at a regular press briefing in the US capital on Monday. He added that North Korea has been living under sanctions for the past six decades and does not pay heed to them at all.

Around the same time that Kim Dong Chul's detention was revealed, Otto Warmbier was also arrested by North Korean authorities. "These biochemical substances were to be provided with the assistance of the CIA. while the South Korean Intelligence Service was going to provide necessary support and funding for this attempt at assassination on our supreme leader".

Just over two weeks after Korean American Tony Kim was detained in North Korea, the Kim regime has detained yet another Korean American, named Kim Hak-Song.

Clinton in 2009 flew to Pyongyang to negotiate the release of United States television journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee, jailed after wandering across to the North from China.

The engaged couple fell in love while filming the 2010 film " The Last Song ". She even sings along with her younger self.

The move freezes any North Korean assets under US jurisdiction and forbids most business between USA companies and the North Korean officials. Will he focus on North Korean defectors, people who the regime would like to silence? State media said he was involved in the timber industry in Khabarovsk, which is one of the primary places North Koreans can go overseas to work.

Kim Hak Song is now the tenth American to be detained by North Korea's current leader, Kim Jong-un.

'I think most people agree that Kim Jong Un is a whack job, ' Gardner said.

North Korea hurled insults of its own, calling Gardner, "A man mixed in with human dirt ... who has lost basic judgment and body hair".

As far as the possibility of the U.S. military action against North Korea is concerned, the ambassador said that Pyongyang was not afraid of it.

In that attack, seen by many as orchestrated by the North, two young women who were allegedly tricked into thinking they were taking part in a television game show, rubbed the deadly VX nerve agent onto the face of the unsuspecting victim, who died soon after.
