Investigators were looking into the possibility the men were killed by the notorious MS-13 gang, Fox 5 reported.

Police also said that the way the four were killed is consistent with methods used by the gang MS-13.

Since 2010, MS-13 members have been charged with more than 35 murders in the Eastern District of NY.

They were found at the intersection of Lowell Avenue and Clayton Street in Central Islip, badly beaten, but police did not immediately identify the four. Sini would not comment on whether the teenager was among those killed.

Sini said, "This is certainly a reminder of how violent they are, that they're still here". "We have all hands on deck, and we're working closely with the Federal Bureau of Investigation", he said.

"We're under no illusion that MS-13 is still operating in Suffolk County". And make no mistake about it.

William Tigre told reporters near the scene that an acquaintance told him Wednesday night that his 18-year-old brother, Jorge, was among those killed. The identities of the males, who are 16, 18, 18 and 20 years old, are not being released pending positive identification.

Their bodies were discovered in Brentwood. The inseparable best friends were attacked with a machete and baseball bats, officials said.

It's also unlikely that Brian Hoyer would have signed with the 49ers had he believed they were drafting a quarterback second. Schefter earlier reported that Cleveland had given Garrett an " astronomical grade " in its draft evaluation report.

Hours later, Llivicur's family told PIX11 police had informed them the teen was among the dead.

Last month, 13 MS-13 gang members from the Brentwood area were arrested and charged with seven murders, as well as an attempted murder and two assaults.

The skeletal remains of Oscar Acosta, 19, and Miguel Garcia-Moran, 15, who had been missing for months were found by train tracks while Jose Pena-Hernandez, an 18-year-old who was a well known gang member, was found in woods behind a disused psychiatric facility.

Authorities are yet to reveal whether the bodies discovered on Wednesday are linked to the previous youths' deaths.

Sini said the the department, in partnership with Suffolk County Crime Stoppers, is posting a $25,000 "fast cash reward" for any information that leads to the arrest of the perpetrator or perpetrators of the murders.

The bodies turned up in a wooded section of a park in Central Islip.
