  • Police Search for 'Armed and Dangerous' Man Who Sent 161-Page Threatening Manifesto to Trump

"Basically he's angry at all government officials", Rock County Sheriff Robert Spoden said at the press conference on Friday.

On Thursday, investigators learned Jakubowski had become agitated about political issues, threatening to steal guns and use them on public officials or a school, Rock County sheriff's officials said.

A man who police say burglarized a Wisconsin gun store and shipped a 161-page manifesto to President Trump has been on the run for almost a week.

Some 150 local, state and federal police officers and personnel were searching for Joseph Jakubowski, 32, who on Tuesday allegedly stole some 16 "high-end firearms" from a gun store in Janesville, Wisconsin and set fire to a vehicle nearby, according to Rock County Sheriff Robert Spoden.

The sheriff's office and Janesville police increased patrols near churches Sunday, although investigators said there was no specific threat.

Joseph Jakubowski, 32, has been missing since Tuesday, when authorities believe he stole a large quantity of handguns and rifles from the store in Janesville, 70 miles (110 kilometers) southwest of Milwaukee.

Authorities have already followed up on 400 leads and tips, the sheriff's department said, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to Jakubowski's capture. Thirty minutes after the robbery, a auto belonging to Jakubowski was found engulfed in flames near the shop. Local law enforcement and SWAT responded and made contact with a man who lived near there. The FBI has offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to his capture.

A Monday article on pointed out that "authorities have received almost 425 tips as they searched for the man". Police now are investigating and trying to verify the tip that Jakubowski was in New Lisbon, according to the Juneau County Sheriff's Department. The video, which Knudson said was posted on social media, shows Jakubowski's name and a Janesville return address on the envelope. "We consider him to be armed and highly risky", he added, ABC News reported.

Anyone who sees Jakubowski is asked to call the Rock County Sheriff's Department at 608-757-7911 or their local law enforcement agency.

Over 150 police officers, sheriff's deputies, and federal agents are on Jakubowski's trail.
