The Edwardsville Knights of Columbus, meanwhile, is getting a jump on things with its Easter egg hunt scheduled from 1 p.m.to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Marine Road.

An Easter bunny will be visiting with children on the fields at both hunts.

"We had close to 4,000 eggs and I think it's a wonderful experience for the kids to be out with their families in the sun", Mayor Luebs said.

The children will be divided into four age groups and the Easter Bunny is expected to make a special appearance.

The event is free of charge and open to the public.

The youth was not identified, but security service head Benedicte Bjornland said intelligence agencies were aware of him. The "bomb-like device" , which was about 30cm wide, was made safe by police after it was discovered on Saturday night.

There will be different times set for two age groups, starting with the smaller children up to six years of age at 11:30 a.m. and then older children, ages seven to 12, will begin at noon, she explains.

The Exchange Club of Madison will hold its 52nd annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8 at the Madison Surf Club. Registration is not required. Beginning in the fellowship hall, children of all ages, as well as their parents, grandparents and/or caregivers, "will discover the real inspiration behind the customs and symbols of the most important event in the history of the world, which is Easter", said Pastor David Meckley. Several Lake County businesses have heard the collective tween eye roll and answered with some fun and unique egg hunts that will have even the coolest tweens wanting to join in. The annual Easter egg hunt in the park is free to children of all ages. Donations of hard-boiled eggs may be dropped off at the park at 10 a.m.

"It's really fun when you see the looks on the little kids face when they see the Easter eggs", Hallie Cochran, eighth grader at Gering Junior High School, said. Just head to a Cinnabon before the premiere on Monday, April 10th from 5 to 7 p.m. The VIP breakfast includes a buffet, Easter Bunny photos, visits with the farm's furry babies, a creation station, souvenir gift for each child and much more.

We can't believe it's Easter already next weekend! Kids need to bring their own basket or bag to hold eggs.
