  • Janesville Police say man was seen with rifle near school

Officials continued a massive manhunt Friday for the capture of a Janesville, Wisconsin, man suspected of stealing about a dozen a dozen handguns, rifles and possibly an automatic weapon from a local gunshop and sending a threatening, 161-page manifesto to President Trump.

Besides 16 high-end guns that he allegedly stole, Jakubowski also has a bullet-proof vest and a helmet, Spoden said.

Janesville and Milton school officials canceled classes on Friday because Jakubowski is still on the loose.

Schools in Rock County are closed on Friday because of the man hunt.

Investigators learned from associates of Jakubowski that he has been highly agitated by national politics and recently mentioned a plan to steal guns and use them on to conduct an unspecified attack, Spoden said.

All Janesville schools are placed on soft lockdown right now.

Donald Trump's new FCC commissioner is fast-tracking repeal of net neutrality
The net neutrality order also required ISPs to make more specific public disclosures about prices, fees, and data caps. The move would potentially return jurisdiction over ISPs to the FTC, which is barred from regulating common carriers.

As a result, area schools have been notified and the search efforts for Jakubowski have been supplemented by several additional agencies including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation and all local law enforcement agencies.

The district said the incident is not related to the ongoing manhunt in the area for Joseph Jakubowski.

Currently, it is unclear whether or not the long gun was part of the Tuesday night burglary.

UPDATE (WKOW) -- Due to the burglary suspect making threats towards public officials or schools, Capitol Police are also on alert today in Madison.

Around 7:15 a.m. Thursday a citizen reported to police that they saw a suspicious person matching Jakubowski's description near Lincoln Elementary School, 1821 Conde Street, who appeared to be intoxicated and armed with a gun. This undated photo provided by the Rock County Sheriff's Office in Janesville, Wis., shows Joseph Jakubowski. But they emphasize that if you do see him, just call the police. That means classes were held but doors to classrooms and the schools were locked.

"Additionally the Watertown Police Department is maintaining a visibility and presence at our schools".
