ProBeat: Google could have easily avoided the 'Beauty and the Beast' brouhaha

And if you shed a tear, don't worry, you won't be the only one who did... not talking about me, of course... The standout of the newest entries is easily a solo given to the Beast after Belle leaves him and he's left to accept his fate. Enter Gaston (Luke Evans), the ultimate alpha-male dirtbag, who has his sights set on making Belle his wife.
Side note: The real victor from all this is Disney - the entire ad-hating internet was reminded of the movie's opening, rather than just Google Home owners. I appreciate the live-action version for its beauty (no pun intended) and the subtleties it adds to the plot, but it's never going to replace the animated version in my mind. The new songs were fine, but I've already forgotten them. Instead, the hype was focused on its actors: the straight-backed feminist Emma Watson as Belle and a slew of other well-knowns as her companions. Continuing the studio's trend of remaking their animated features is Beauty & the Beast, but does this modern day reimagining of a fairly modern classic conjure up memories of 1991?
If you thought Gaston was an egotistical blowhard in the animated film, you haven't seen anything yet.
So, should audiences be Disney's guest once more to see this tale as old as time (or, more accurately, tale as old as about 1740 or so)? There's even a piece of dialogue where Gaston asks Le Fou why he doesn't have more luck with women, nearly as if to drive the point home that Le Fou is not, in fact, gay. Ian McKellen is quite amusing as Cogsworth and Ewan McGregor, despite never seeing the original movie, brings the same upbeat and whimsical performance to Lumiere. Try not to get lost in them the whole movie.
Belle encounters the beast when she leaves home to search for her father, Maurice, who has gotten lost in the woods. If you didn't go into the theater knowing who was who, you'll love finding out. It was both a tribute and a new take on the original classic.
I could have carried in a couple two-by-fours, I guess, but for the most part, I was in a T-shirt and jeans, which was great.
What was the first musical you saw that inspired you to want to be a performer yourself?
And since Watson hasn't cashed in major pay for any of her roles since the "Harry Potter" movies - in which she earned $60 million combined for the eight movies - Disney's deal likely looked good to her.
"In fact it's better than that - it's quite good, thanks to the sturdiness of the story, the jaw-dropping visuals and, most importantly, the one thing the first film didn't offer: Emma Watson". At times, Chip looks a little off and sometimes the Beast's face doesn't have anykind of expression on it even when he's showing a lot of emotion.
Other wonderful additions come in the form of characters and songs, and again, these changes do nothing but freshen the story and give us even more music to grow to love.
