  • Millwall defender¬†Shaun Cummings has scored two FA Cup goals so far already this season

Tottenham Hotspur are braced to lose top scorer Harry Kane for another extended period after the England global limped off during the FA Cup quarter-final win over Millwall at White Hart Lane.

Harry Winks made his Premier League debut earlier this season and is beginning to develop into a reliable, technically talented and effective player for Spurs.

Harris is adamant Millwall's FA Cup progress is a cause of great pride but believes failure to make the most of the momentum it has led to will see the south Londoners' campaign deemed a failure. It demonstrates Pochettino's lack of faith in Vincent Janssen that midfielder Christian Eriksen was preferred as Kane's replacement rather than the only striker on the bench.

Kane picked up the problem following a challenge from defender Jake Cooper as the Englishman's ankle looked to be trapped underneath his opponent's leg during the tackle.

Janssen scored his first goal from open play for Tottenham against Millwall, and previously came under fire from Pochettino, who demanded that he prove his place.

There was just time for Son to complete his hat-trick in added time as his close-range volley went straight through King and Alli was buoyed by the way the hosts responded to the injury to Kane.

Winning once will be a handful in itself given the opponent is 10th-seed in , which lost in overtime at Iowa on February 21. The bottom four seeds have to play on the first day and, to win the tournament, need to win a brutal five games in a row.

King spilled Son's stoppage time effort to round off a miserable second-half for Millwall.

The victory put the north London club in the semi-finals, where they will face Arsenal, Manchester City, or the victor of Monday night's tie between Chelsea and Manchester United.

Kane is the top goalscorer in the league with 19 strikes, placing him one clear of Everton's Romelu Lukaku and his goals have helped Spurs to sit in second place in the table, behind leaders Chelsea. My job is to select only 11 players in every game, but I was always happy with Sonny.

"It is the first ugly game we won", Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp said.

'We've worked so hard to eradicate that from football, especially Millwall, who more than anyone are trying to get it right. Not too much football today. The semi-final will be at Wembley Stadium, where the plan is for them to play their home games next season before moving into their new 800 million pound ($972 million), 61,000-seat stadium next door to "The Lane" in 2018-19.
