Disney has shared a first look of Emily Blunt in Mary Poppins Returns, and she's practically ideal in every way.

She dons a small maroon hat, fitted blue coat with her iconic patterned bag.

"Mary Poppins Returns" opens in theaters December 25, 2018.

Dick Van Dyke, who starred as chimney sweep Burt in the original movie, has confirmed he will appear in the sequel.

At least 5 people injured in Charlotte Maxeke roof collapse
Motsoaledi says the contractor who was hired for maintenance will be held accountable for the collapse. The five sustained minor tissue injuries, amongst them, two patients, two workers and one staff member.

This is the latest news we've heard on Mary Poppins sequel since the studio announced Angela Lansbury will play a balloon vendor known as the Balloon Lady (I can not wait for this) in the film last month.

If that's not enough you've also got Colin Firth playing banker William Weatherall Wilkins, Julie Walters as Banks housekeeper Ellen, plus original Mary Poppins star Dick Van Dyke - and a whole bunch of new songs.

Here's the Mary Poppins Returns first look from Disney.

The film's director is Rob Marshall, whose previous work includes Chicago and Into The Woods, while the script is being produced by Finding Neverland writer David Magee. After Michael suffers a personal loss, the nanny Mary Poppins returns to the lives of the Banks family, and, along with the optimistic street lamplighter Jack, uses her magical skills to help the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives. Set in Depression-era London, Mary Poppins Returns focuses on the adult lives of two of the Banks children, Michael (Ben Whishaw) and Jane (Emily Mortimer), and Michael's three kids (Pixie Davies, Nathanael Saleh and Joel Dawson). She also brings in her eccentric cousin, Topsy (Meryl).
