  • A photo of Kellyanne Conway kneeling on an Oval Office couch had divided America along bizarre lines

A photo of Kellyanne Conway checking her phone as she's kneeling on an Oval Office couch has sparked a massive online debate.

So it should be no surprise that the Twitterverse lost its collective mind this week when photos surfaced of Conway casually kneeling on an Oval Office couch with her shoes on. Above, a meme refers to Forrest Gump.

The images led some to question Ms Conway's body language, suggesting that she was not taking the meeting on Monday seriously. Other photos show Conway leaning over to take a smartphone picture of the event. Some defended Conway by sharing photos of former President Barack Obama with his feet on Kennedy's resolute desk. "Only when I'm watching tv & having the Munchies tho". 'My mother never let us put our feet on the furniture!

But it's not the first time Conway has courted controversy in the few short weeks since the Trump team entered the White House.

'National security advisor' Bildt was 'recommended'
Fox News's "The O'Reilly Factor" this week featured a guest with inaccurate credentials, The Washington Post reported Saturday. Swedish military and foreign-affairs officials said they have no knowledge of the man, who goes by Nils Bildt.

Shortly after her photo was taken, Twitter errupted with comments about the way she was sitting.

"Remember when Republicans used to flip out over Obama Oval Office decorum", posted one Twitter user.

In February, 15 legal ethics professors issued a complaint against Conway to the Bar, accusing her of misconduct, according to the Daily Mail.
