Club Penguin set to close, breaking millennial hearts worldwide

Late previous year, Disney announced via a brief trailer that a Club Penguin-based game would be heading to mobile, though further information remains unknown. The tech news site believes the slump had to do with the fact that there are now so many apps and platforms available that capture the attention of Club Penguin's target market.
One of the first successful MMOs for children, Disney'sClub Penguin, will be closing for good on March 29th.
According to the official Club Penguin website, they have made a decision to discontinue Club Penguin on the PC to transfer to another platform. At one point, Club Penguin had registered more than 200 million accounts on the freemium service aimed at young kids.
Come February paid member accounts will no longer be charged a recurring payment.
Meanwhile, those who have availed of the membership in advance prior to the announcement of the discontinuation of Club Penguin can continue playing the game until their membership expires.
Current paid members will be receiving emails with further information about membership including refund details.
